Billy Higgins
Billy HigginsREALTOR® , BS Animal Science, (Texas A&M University)

Billy Higgins is proud to be at least a sixth generation Texan able to trace his family back to 1839 to a Ranger serving the Republic of Texas. Billy lived 31 years in Alvin, Texas…

where he grew up in the rice fields walking levees, operating equipment and raising poultry, cattle and hogs with his family.

Never having seen anything but flat coastal prairies and marsh land, Billy fell in love with the rolling hills and woods of Central Texas at the age of 10 when his father took him hunting in Burleson County. His love for the area was reinforced in his college years when he leased some property and ran cattle in the same area. He worked his way through college on ranches and local cattle auction barns and never lost his desire to live in this area.

Billy moved his family to Central Texas in 1996, became a professional auctioneer, and obtained his Real Estate license in 2004.

Billy has a passion for the outdoors, farming and ranching, and loves country homes and properties. He loves to imagine what a piece of raw property could become given the right owner and the proper management.  Walking or riding around a piece of property, identifying the trees, plants and wildlife, and studying aerial photos and topographical maps of a property is a favorite past time.

Married to his wife Kelli for over 30 years and having raised 3, seventh generation Texan children, and after being on the road for nearly 25 years, Billy and Kelli discussed shifting his career to allow him to be more local and spend more time around their home town of Giddings, their church, and family.  Always believing everything happens for a reason and in God’s timing, a phone conversation and meeting with Scott Schultz started Billy thinking of becoming a member of the Schultz Texas Properties team. With all the changes brought on in 2020, working locally and serving the community in which he lives seemed to be the natural choice. Billy has now joined Schultz Texas Properties, joined the Lion’s Club, is selling his local farm produce, and looking forward to serving the area and his community.
